Welcome to BNI Group Synergy

Welcome to BNI Group Synergy! My name is Keith Reynolds, and I am currently the President for our Chapter. Regardless of what you may or may not know about BNI, my goal is to show you why our Chapter is the perfect group of local business owners and professionals for you to get to know. Having recently re-chartered in October of 2008 with a total of 15 members, Group Synergy is now focused on finding and partnering with individuals interested in growing their business and their bank account by taking advantage of the power of word-of-mouth advertising.

As the manager of the Stony Point BB&T Branch for nearly 3 years now, I have learned the importance of being proactive in my weekly routine rather than waiting in my office for clients to call or come to me. I don't consider myself a salesman, but I have a strong desire to build relationships with members of my community in order to find ways that I can help them to achieve economic success and financial security. The only way for me to determine how I can help is to earn the trust of my clients so that they are comfortable sharing much of their lives with me.

My approach is very much the same as the leader of our networking team, Group Synergy. As a chapter, we communicate regularly in an effort to fully understand each other's business goals and prospective clients. In time, we have grown to trust one another as valuable resources for each other in our daily professional lives. For example, when I come across a client of mine who may need help fixing damage to their home created by a fallen tree, I not only can help them with the financial aspects of this need, but I can also refer them to a respected and fair BNI Logotree service expert as well as a trusted general contractor that may be able to help them to repair their house. My client may prefer to find their own service providers, but a warm recommendation from an advisor that they trust can go a long way. Just imagine if you had 15 other people besides yourself talking about your business with friends, relatives, and clients all over Richmond on a regular basis. Then imagine 20, 25, even 30 more people out in the community putting in a good word for you and what you do. All of a sudden business starts looking for you rather than your having to look for business. Word-of-mouth advertising can differentiate your business or service from your competitors, and if you manage it right, it can be the only advertising you need.

I would like to extend to you a very friendly invitation to one of our weekly meetings held every Thursday morning at 8 AM in the back room of the Einstein Bagels located in the Stony Point Shopping Center. Join us for a cup of coffee or grab some breakfast. Our meeting adjourns at 9:30, so it's a great way to jump start your day.

Please feel free to contact me directly if I can answer any questions for you about BNI, Group Synergy, or the application process. Even if we cannot offer you a seat in our chapter, you are always welcome to visit other chapters in the area if you are truly committed to growing your business and improving your business's reputation in the community.

Thanks for visiting our site, and from all of us with Group Synergy, we wish you and your business much success in 2009!

What is BNI?

BNI is the largest business networking organization in the world. We offer members theopportunity to share ideas, contacts and most importantly, business referrals. Our chapter - Group Synergy - meets on Thursday mornings (8:00 - 9:30) in the back room of the Einstein Bagels located in the Stony Point Shopping Center.

Started in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan R. Misner, Founder & Chairman of Business Network Int'l., BNI provides a positive, supportive, and structured environment for men and women to further their business through word-of-mouth marketing. Networking requires commitment. The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of participants who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team.

Group Synergy is growing!

Group Synergy is growing. Quality membership passing great referrals is what we're all about. Our secret -- to let the proverbial cat out of the bag -- is that as a small chapter we've gotten to know each other, become friends as well as business associates, and pass quality referrals to grow our businesses. And we'll admit -- we're picky when it comes to membership. It's not just "another seat at the table". It's OUR "accountant's seat", it's OUR 'attorney's seat", it's OUR "dry wall guy's seat". And there's ONLY one seat for EACH occupation. And it's the person we not only recommend to our business contacts, it's the person that we recommend to our family and friends.

It's time for Group Synergy to grow. We've been successful because of our members and we're looking to add like-minded new members that want to grow with us. And if you've looked at other BNI groups, we'd ask that you take a second look at us. We're unique among BNI groups. Our "business passed" is unheard of in smaller groups. We're concentrating on developing our Contractors/Builders/Craftsman Power Team -- a unique focus amongst Central Virginia BNI. But perhaps most unique is our (excuse the pun) synergy! We enjoy each other's company, we enjoy doing business together, and we enjoy making our fellow members look good in their customers' eyes. Truth be told, we enjoy Group Synergy so much that we have to be sure to keep the door closed so that our post-meeting discussion, planning and laughter don't disturb the other offices in the building.

It all comes down to this -- come to visit Group Synergy. Put it on your calendar for this Thursday morning at 8:00 in the back room of the Einstein Bagels located in the Stony Point Shopping Center. See how a unique blend of business professions work together. See how your bottom line will increase if you submit an application and are approved for membership in Group Synergy.
